Stacking the Shelves

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.

Here it’s chance to share the books you’ve acquired this week and what you’re excited about. So it will be a weekly Sunday occurrence to see what we’re ‘Stacking the Shelves’ with!

Bought this week.

On my trip through Wales, I discovered an AMAZING second hand book shop that had literally thousands of books inside. Not all of them fiction, some were fabulously old history books and travel books etc. So I picked up a couple of books as a holiday treat.

I also bought a couple more book from Waterstones. This week has been a bit of a book whore week. However, I did use my points so it wasn’t like I was spending money! I’m very much looking forward to both of these!

Won this week.

Well I won them last week/this week, but I haven’t got these books until this week.

Thank you to The Reader’s Den for this one! I’m soooooo excited to start reading it and doesn’t the cover look fabulous?!

Then I have these few babies that are waiting for me at the post office, so I don’t have pictures of these yet. Thanks to The Flutterby Room for the chance to win these!

  1. I really liked Anna Dressed In Blood – totally spooky! I’ve been seeing Carnival of Souls everywhere lately, so I decided to read the Goodreads summary. And, MAN!!! IT SOUNDS SOO GOOD!! Ahh!! I hope you like A Great and Terrible Beauty!! I LOVE THAT SERIES! Nice haul! (Thanks for commenting on my blog :D!)

Yes, I’ve never read a Melissa Marr book before, so this will be a new experience for me. I’m very excited about it actually! It sounds AWESOME! 😀 Thank you! I nearly bought it last week, so I’m sooo glad I didn’t. haha. Thank you too! 🙂

  2. Wow! You got some amazing reads this week! I loved A Great and Terrible Beauty and Revolution, so I hope you enjoy those two just as much as I did! I’m thrilled that you picked up Carnival of Souls – I can’t wait for your review of that one – and Anna Dressed in Blood and The Name of the Wind have been sitting on my shelf for ages, so I’m excited to see what you make of those two! Enjoy! 😀

  6. Nice haul! I haven’t read that Stephen King one although I want to and congrats on winning books, yay!

  7. I recently added The Name of the Wind to my TBR list! Another blogger highly recommended it be read, and the ratings (plus reviews) only add good things. I keep hearing about Anna Dressed in Blood — it’s not a book I’d normally pick up, but many seem to enjoy it. I’ll have to check it out some time! Ooh, and I’ve heard A Great and Terrible Beauty is good, too.

    Awesome book haul!
