Stacking the Shelves

Books Received for Review.

I got my copy of Zenn Scarlett through the post and I’m really excited to read it now as it sounds rather unique.

E-Books Received for Review.

Walking DisasterA Shade of VampireForever

Morbid curiosity had me requesting Walking Disaster, and note the word morbid there. Forever is the sequel to Forbidden which I loved, but frankly it left me largely disappointed, whilst it was still good, it wasn’t quite mind-blowing. I have seen A Shade of Vampire around quite a lot and it’s short. I’ve just finished reading it and enjoyed it quite a lot, so whilst it wasn’t outstanding, it was fairly good if not a little cliche.

E-Books Bought/Won.

RecalledThe Samantha Project

I kept forgetting to add Recalled being on my kindle which I haven’t organised in a while since I bought it after a few reviews during the blog tour and it sounds really good.

The Samantha Project I won over at Alice in Wonderland, so I’m looking forward to reading that one.

~ Big SAD News ~

Hey Guys.

So, I hope you won’t hate me for this, but I’m quitting blogging. HOLD ON. Not for good, but for the foreseeable future, or until June at the latest. Firstly before I explain, I want to thank each and everyone of you for commenting, following and becoming such fabulous friends and supporters. It means to much to me and I’ll hope you’ll see me through to the end of my blogging hiatus.

My reasoning behind this is, I have very little time to read and an awful lot to do which is bringing horrendous amounts of stress, sleepless night, emotional wrenching experiences and just no spare time. That thing causing all this is commonly known as school in which I’m preparing for the most important exams of my life, to get into my desired University. I was also stupid enough to take the really hard A levels of Biology, History and English Literature so there is an awful lot of work required.

So from now until June, I won’t really be blogging, there may be the odd post, but I need to focus all my energy on passing my exams well to get into University, which is soooo important to me and even in the holidays I have to devout most of my time to studying.

My last exam is June 17th, so hopefully from there on out I can return to this fabulous blogging community with more cheer and enthusiasm. Until then, I request that you have lots of fun and cheer in blogging.

I wish you all the best of luck and hope to see you some time in the future. I’ll be around on Goodreads so chase me up to talk as I will reply to you and you can add me here. Or you can email me at

See you soon guys!

  1. I’m so sad you’re leaving us, but it’s completely understandable! I know how stressful exams can get, and I wish you the best of luck. I’m glad you’re not leaving us for good, at least! I look forward to your return in a couple of months. 🙂

  2. I completely understand. Between blogging, school, and life in general, it can turn into a tough balancing act. Education is important, and there are often times when you list out priorities and blogging gets shoved somewhere in a dusty corner — I know I’ve had to do just that on several occasions. Best of luck on your exams and getting into University!

Yup, I think this time I do need to prioritise like I haven’t really done before. Thank you! 🙂

  3. I’m sad that you won’t be blogging for a while Olivia, but I totally understand :). I hope all the studying goes well for your A/Levels and I wish you nothing but the best of luck with them! I’m sure you’ll do fine :). And my dad’s birthday is actually on June 17th. So hopefully the exam will be stellar that day! Take Care :).

Thank you, Savindi! Hopefully I’ll see you over on GR at some point. Oooh, it’s my Biology exam, the one that I really need to get my grade in since it’s the hardest! Thank youuuu! 🙂

  4. That’s a shame but so understandable! Keeping yourself well and as less stressed as possible in exam years is so important. Shall add you on Goodreads! See you soon x

  5. I’ll miss your reviews, Olivia, but I’m glad I can still catch you on GR!(: Of late, blogging has become really tough for me as well because of everything else that also needs to be done, so I completely understand. GOOD LUCK with all your exams and Uni, dear! 🙂

  6. Aww Livvy I’m sad that you’ll be leaving us for a short while, but I’m glad your hiatus won’t be a permanent one! I don’t know how you can keep up with school work alongside blogging, as I know I never would have been able to do it. Good luck with all your exams, I’m sure you’ll pass with flying colours! 🙂

    • Livvy @Nerdy Book Reviews

I don’t know how I’ve been doing it until know, so definitely a hiatus is needed. I do wayyy too much! 🙂 Thank you!

  7. I’m very sorry to hear that, Livvy! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you, but I have every faith that you’ll get into the University you desire. I know you can do it. I’ll be looking forward to your return. 🙂

  8. Noooooooo, don’t leave me, Livvy! Oh, wait, you’ll be back. Yay! Best of luck to you on all of your school stuff until it’s over! I’m going to miss your posts, but I completely understand the need for your hiatus. Take care, and don’t forget about us once school is over. ❤

    • Livvy @Nerdy Book Reviews

I’ll be back, don’t worry. Thank you! I promise not to forget, don’t worry. I look forward to my return already! 🙂 ❤

  9. See you when you return, I understand this is TOTALLY the busiest time of the year for me too!

  10. First of all, before the more important stuff, wonderful haul, Livvy, I hope you enjoy these. 🙂

As much as it pains me, I completely understand. I know that very soon, I’m going to be doing the exact same thing. I’m going to see if I can make it through April, or at least get the blog tour posts scheduled as quick as I can. But at the moment I have next to no time for reading and I’ve used this weekend as an attempt to start to catch up. It’s not really going to work, seeing as I have a tonne of revision to do these holidays in addition to homework and maybe sorting out coursework. It’s so annoying school gets in the way like this! A2 is ridiculously intense. At least you’ll still be on GR, though. I can take some comfort in that. And we’re in the same boat. All the same, missing you already! <33

    • Livvy @Nerdy Book Reviews

I hope I do too, but god knows when I’ll actually have time to read them!

I hope you do better than me, but I just can’t deal with the stress and I’m just really pushing myself as hard as possible for these exams to try and get the best possible. Although that hasn’t quite started yet. And hopefully I’ll be able to do a bit of relaxing reading in the time I was blogging.

It is ridiculously intense. I think I’ve finished most of my coursework off actually now, but I have to do some modules for my Leeds course before hand, so I needed to account for these. I’m missing you too and we’ll be there for each other on Goodreads too! ❤

  11. No 😦 I am going miss you. Although I understand why because I get the feeling I am going to have to do the same thing pretty soon, because as much fun sitting around at home doing nothing is I do want to go to college 😛

    • Livvy @Nerdy Book Reviews

I will miss you too. Yes, lots of hard work is needed to get to the places you want to! 🙂

  12. Sorry that things are getting to you but take all the time you need! I’ll miss your posts but it’s not forever and I’ll still tweet and GR you 🙂
Just focus on yourself and without the extra pressure of blogging I’m sure you’ll feel a lot better. Good luck in your exams and speak soon 😉

    • Livvy @Nerdy Book Reviews

Yes, definitely look forward to those! 🙂

Hopefully I will feel better and I’m definitely going to be concentrating on my exams from now on! 🙂

  13. Aww, that is an extremely sad news. You’ve been a good blogger friend and I’ll miss you around. Anyway, I’ll see you around in goodreads! Good luck with your exams! 😉

    • Livvy @Nerdy Book Reviews

You have been a great blogger friend too, but I’ll see you on Goodreads and thank you, Jona! 🙂

  14. You will be missed Livvy and I can’t wait till you return 🙂 I hope you(and am sure you will) do wonderfully on your exams! I just added you to Goodreads as well!

  15. Ah, good old school exams! I wish you all kinds of luck with them, and the application process for your university of choice. I’ll miss your posts but shall definitely chat at you on Goodreads! ❤

  16. Best of luck to you on your exams! I look forward to reading your posts again when you return, and in the meantime, I hope to see you on Goodreads!

  17. Zenn Scarlett looks so good, and I hope you enjoy The Samantha Project! I’m looking forward to seeing your new posts when you get back! 🙂 Best wishes,

    Alice @ Alice in Readerland

  18. While I somewhat hope this is an April Fool’s type of thing, if not I applaud you for putting your priorities in order. I wish you the best on your exams and good luck studying!

  19. I’m sorry to hear you won’t be around for awhile Livvy…. but I can completely understand your situation. Review committments can be a little overwhelming at times and the last thing you want is it getting in the way of your personal life or your studies. Best of luck with your exams and we hope to see you back here soon 🙂

  20. I totally understand your decision, Livvy. It’s more important to do well on your exams and they should be your primary focus. We’ll still be here when you get back! Until then, good luck and try not to stress out too much! 🙂

  21. kay

Ha, I’ve been there! And it’s good sometimes to take time to focus on priorities. Good luck – and don’t forget to breathe! 🙂

  22. Aww sad that you won’t be around the blogosphere for awhile, but I TOTALLY understand. It can be overwhelming, and real life takes precedence. Good luck with exams and school, and see you when you return!

  23. Blogging while stressed is no fun! I completely relate to that feeling. I wish you the best of luck on your exams so that you can go to your dream university. Going over to friend-request you on Goodreads now so that hopefully we can still keep in touch during the in-between months. Good luck with everything!!

  24. Enjoy your break hun, it sounds like you really need it! Study hard and good luck with your exams!

  25. Oh, I hope you do great on your exams! I remember A Levels Biology *shudders* but I bet you’ll do great.

  26. Best of luck with your A levels Lizzy! 😀
