Top Ten Tuesday is an weekly meme created and hosted at The Broke and the Bookish.

This week it’s the Top Ten Favourite New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2012.

New

2012 has been a big year for me, I took to Goodreads and I started up my blog, Both very daunting things which have lead me to meet lots of wonderful people and I’ve been enlightened to lots of wonderful new authors!

Andrez Bergencassandra rose clarkeElizabeth-Weinjulie-kagawa

katie-mcgarryMaria-S_melissa marrsuzanna collins

So this year I’ve been introduced to new debut authors and older authors that I’ve only just discovered and I’m so excited for some of the titles that I have to read.

Julie Kagawa – this women is all kinds of awesome. I fell in love with The Immortal Rules and I have the Iron Fey series to read, so I’m looking forward to that.

Melissa Marr – I’ve seen this woman around, I mean she’s pretty famous, but it’s only by chance that I won a copy of Carnival of Souls which introduced me to her.

Suzanne Collins – Yeah, I got myself into the whole Hunger Games hype after my friends pestered me to read the books (yes, pestered me, the book collector/geek/nerd/bookaholic was pestered to read a book!!) Admittedly I’m glad I did because I really enjoyed the books and I liked reading books before I watch a film.

Maria V. Snyder – I spelt the woman’s name right… I think. I continually mix the ‘n’ and the ‘y’ up and wonder why I never find her on the internet. Still, Poison Study. Yes, I love you Yelena and Valek. He just shouldn’t be sexy, but he is.

M. Latimer-Ridley – Well, these two ladies I stumbled across on WordPress and I have fallen in love with their book. I’m really excited to see more of their work and their blog is just fabulous, so I’m so glad I found these guys. One of my favourite gems of the year.

Andrez Bergen – I remember he sent me a request asking me to review his book and I was new to blogging and I thought “what the heck” let’s give this thing a try. And surprisingly I really enjoyed the novel and he’s a great guy which makes the reading experience all the better.

Katie McGarry – I loved Pushing the Limits and it was a brilliant debut. I’m looking forward to more and she certainly sold me a contemporary novel, which certainly aren’t my thing.

Elizabeth Wein – This women weaves absolute magic with her words. The emotion she pours in is just so beautiful. Words cannot express. Just go. FIND HER.

Cassandra Rose Clarke – Another awesome debut author with ‘The Assassin’s Curse’ she was starting off a series that looks like it’s going to be really great. I can’t wait for more from her.

Daphne du Maurier – Rebecca is a book I’m currently reading and although it’s taking a while, I really love her writing style and think this is a ‘classic’ that I can genuinely fall in love with. I will definitely be wanting to try more of her books!

This week it’s the Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Bringing Me. I think it’s far too early for Christmas, but I’m already eating the chocolates out of my advent calendar, so I guess I can stretch myself to a Christmas book list.

santa-reading283746234

That list is probably an accurate length of how long my book ‘wishlist’ is, if not longer, but I’m having to strain myself in narrowing it down to ten. Here goes…

Angel FireDarkfeverFinnikin of the rockFire

InsatiableLegend

Looking for AlaskaThe Gathering StormLone WolfThe Raven Boys

Paranormal.

Darkfever by Karen Marie Morning (GR) – I’ve heard a lot about these books, and they are from one of my favourite genres the Urban Fantasy/Paranormal which is definitely the genre I read when I need to cheer myself up. I can’t believe I haven’t read these books yet because they sound so interesting, so I’d love to get a hold of this for Christmas.

Insatiable by Meg Cabot (GR) – Meg Cabot was one of my favourite authors when I was younger and whilst she’s not always the genre I read now with her being a more chick-lit author for the young-adult genre, I still really find her books classic. However, here she’s touching on vampires which sadly is a weakness of mine and I can’t help but want this book because I still love Meg Cabot!

Contemporary.

Looking For Alaska by John Green (GR) – I’ve heard lots about this author, particularly from his recent book ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ but a friend recommended me this book saying they thought it would be my thing, and even though contemporary isn’t my favourite genre, I feel like I want to read it after the recommendation from a good friend.

Lone Wolf by Jodi Picoult (GR) – I’ve really enjoyed the couple of books I’ve read by Picoult which were ‘Picture Perfect’ and ‘Handle with care’ and this one really caught my interest. She always creates lots of intricate plots with different view points that really are emotional and moving and her novels tend to be pretty weighty and interesting. Picoult is also one of the rare authors of her genre from the adult section I actually read.

Historical.

The Gathering Storm by Robin Bridges (GR) – I would never have noticed this novel if it wasn’t for Savindi over at The Streetlight Reader and she really made me want to pick it up. It’s a historical novel and it has fantasy elements in and this is two of my favourite things and Savindi really sold me the novel, so I can’t help but want it especially since it’s set in Russia, somewhere that I’m desperate to learn more about!

Fantasy.

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater (GR) – The first Stiefvater book I read and only one to date was ‘Shiver’ and whilst I enjoyed it, I wasn’t blown away and this one has caught my attention at a better novel by her, so I want to try this one to see the different to her Wolves of Mercy series and see whether I’ll enjoy her other books better or I just don’t get along with her as an author because after all the brilliant reviews about her, I feel she deserves a second chance.

Fire by Kristin Cashore (GR) – I really enjoyed Graceling which is the first novel and I’ve been meaning to get my hands on ‘Fire’ ever since because I’m incredibly eager to see the adventure of the Graceling Realm continue and Graceling held lots of promise.

Finninkin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta (GR) – I genuinely don’t think I’ve heard a negative thing about this novel and when scrolling through some people’s books on Goodreads, ya know, stalking shelves, my usual hobby (JOKES) I found this book and it’s premise sounds incredibly interesting and it’s been on my wishlist ever since!

Angel Fire by L.A. Weatherly (GR) – Over a year ago now I read the first book on holiday, I taken it to Italy and stayed up late into the night, even though I was getting up stupidly early to visit Venice and it made me stupidly tired. However, this was one of those books that I was one more page, one more page and I have just never gotten around to purchasing the second and it’s a book I keep picking up and putting back down on the shelf without buying, so if Santa brought it me, I’d be a very happy girl.

Dystopia.

Legend by Marie Lu (GR) – When I first saw this book I wanted to read it and I’ve heard many good things, and lots of different takes, but I first started my dystopia or what I knew of dystopia with ‘The Hunger Games’ and then I saw how big the genre was and this book really captured by attention, so for about a year now I’ve really wanted to read it and it’s really intriguing me with what is behind the cover.

This week it’s the Top Ten Most Anticipated Books of 2013.

2013

Oooh, this is a really hard week to pick ten books. I think there are so many fabulous books that are coming up in 2013 and lots of books I’ve probably not even heard about yet, so this is hard.

This week it’s Top Ten Books I’d want on a Deserted Island.

desert-island1

Hmmmm… Maybe I’ll just skip the books and sunbathe and swim. I mean, after all that just looks beautiful. I suppose if I have to pick some books…

Branded By Firelover-eternalnakedindeathOn Dublin Street Cover Art - CopypushingthelimitsHarry_Potter_and_the_Half-Blood_Prince

immortal ruleskatya's worldpoison-study-young-adult-front-cover2rebecca

I thought I’d need a mix of books to keep me entertained on a deserted island.

Romance:

Branded by Fire (GR) – I adored this romance, it was sizzling, saucy and just downright hot from start to finish and one of the best shifter romances I’ve read. It’s from a cracking series.

Lover Eternal (GR) – I’ve fallen madly in love with Rhage, and you’ll have probably heard me say it a thousand times.

On Dublin Street (GR) – Contemporary romances aren’t usually my thing, but this was emotional, entertaining and a “rainy day read” so I think it would occupy me on a deserted island.

Pushing the Limits (GR) – Contemporary YA is always my thing either, but I fell in love with this novel and the characters and everything about it. One of my favourite YA books of the year.

Classic:

Rebecca (GR) – I actually haven’t finished this book yet, but it’s really, really good. So I’d want to take it with me to finish and I’m getting a little bit of a thing for Gothic genre and this falls into that category so I think this book would be something I’d read again when I finish it.

Fantasy:

Katya’s World (GR) – I finished this one recently and I haven’t put my review up yet, but it’ll be coming shortly along with an author interview which I’m incredibly excited about. However the novel was brilliant. It was entirely unpredictable so I think I’d like to take it with me and try and read and see where I may have missed things.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (GR) – I thought I’d have to pack one of the heftier Harry Potter books and a lot of things happen in this novel so I’m fairly sure it would entertain me if I couldn’t bring my whole set of Harry Potter books.

Poison Study (GR) – Another recent read which I really enjoyed and I adored the heroine and the love interest who I didn’t expect at first. Definitely a book I could reread.

The Immortal Rules (GR) – My first and only Kagawa book to date, but certainly a stunner of a book to enter into. Kanin is a fictional character that has ruined all others. I’d probably just sit and read about him all day and dream about.

Crime:

Naked in Death (GR) – I simply adore Eve and Roarke. I never tire of them, their relationship, Robb’s writing and I my memory is so atrocious that I’ve probably forgotten who did the murder so it would be equally entertaining to read and I’d like to pick apart all the little details of the murder.

I think I covered most of the genres I love except historical novels, but hopefully these 10 books would be sufficient to keep me happy for a short while on a deserted island. Otherwise I would have to hope somewhere that I could locate a kindle with internet access and get tonnes more because realistically I don’t think I’d survive with only 10 books on a deserted island.

Top Ten Favorite Authors In Paranormal-Romance Genre. Paranormal-Romance is definitely one of my favourite genres and a large proportion of my books fall into this category. I haven’t read as many books as I’d like, but I certainly have a few who are some of my the best authors.

jrward1. J.R. Ward

I do not have words to cover how much I adore this woman. I have never rated one of her books lower than 4 stars. I find that I can read her books again and again and never get bored. I just all around love her in her paranormal-romance shoes.

JeanieneFrost2. Jeaniene Frost

Cat + Bones = Sexy, hot romance and humour. She creates a perfect dynamic for a couple with tonnes of action, a real developing romance that manages to take a major role, whilst not overshadowing a clear plot.

NaliniSingh3. Nalini Singh

I adore most of the Psy-Changeling series and have about 3 books to finish it off until I’m all caught up, but I’ve come to a momentary stop in reading to savour these books. Then I have the first of the Guild Hunter books to try. So I hope Nalini Singh shows her versatility as a paranormal-romance author and that I will enjoy her other series with equal vigour.

Christine Feehan4. Christine Feehan

She was one of my first paranormal authors, so I think she will hold a special place in my heart. Certainly a raunchy book to get started with and it was a little shocking, but I think (secretly) it is part of what kept me hooked.

Sherrilyn Kenyon5. Sherrilyn Kenyon

Dark-Hunters are hot. Simple as. She writes about Greek, Roman, Celt warriors who are all extremely sexy and Gods, demons, vampires, zombies and all other forms of the paranormal. I feel like Kenyon combines so many different aspects of the paranormal and works them really well into a series of books. The only problem is the series is freaking huge!

Lynsay Sands6. Lynsay Sands

Time and time again I seem to come back to the Argeneau series and whilst it might not be perfect or mind-blowing, I genuinely enjoy reading every one and I can’t wait to finish the series.

KeriArthur7. Keri Arthur

I’ve only read one book by her, but I did really enjoy it. It was ‘Beneath the Rising Moon’ and a really interesting werewolf novel. I had a a few discrepancies, but I’ll be looking to read more of her books.

Top Ten Series I haven’t finished:

In Death Series1. In Death by J.D. Robb

I adore this series, but it’s soooooo long and I’m only on book 17, so I’m slowly slogging my way through it to try and catch up to it. I believe we are in the high thirties now with the amount of books there are. Still, definitely one to watch out for.

dark-hunters2. Dark-Hunters by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I borrow these books from my library along and read them intermittingly when I feel in the mood since and I don’t have enough time to read them all one after the other and I like to read different things. Another excellent paranormal-romance series.

dark carpathian3. Dark-Carpathians by Christine Feehan

I also adore these books, but they are very similar styles and I find it hard to read them all one after the other. Another very sexy paranormal-romance series that I have picked up.

wolves of mercy falls4. The Wolves of Mercy Falls by Maggie Stiefvater

I read the first book and wasn’t completely enamoured with it, so it didn’t prompt me to rush onto the next two. I know I will at some point since I’m interested by the direction, but just not engaged enough yet with the story to read the next two.

BlackDaggerBrotherhoodSeries5. Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward

J.R. Ward is one of my “sure thing” authors and I really love her, so I haven’t read all of these books purely because I’m savouring them and I need to buy the latest one and I don’t want to read any more without having another book to follow.

mortal instruments6. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

I’ve read the first one City of Bones and really loved it, but once again I read so many different books and series that I get distracted.

morganville7. The Morganville Vampires books by Rachel Caine

Getting a feeling of reoccurring paranormal series that I read? This is why I have soooo many unfinished ones because I just read so many I never stick to finishing one? These are another series with a very sassy protagonist and a super hot, fan girl moment love interest who I would want to be my boyfriend and I say this without any doubt.

psy-changeling8. Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh

Again another series I borrow from the library. I slowed with this one because the last couple of books I didn’t like so much, so it put me off reading the next few. However, I feel like those ones will be better so I intend to get back into reading them shortly!

Skulduggery-Pleasant9. Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy

I adored the first two books in this series and found them quirky and humorous and I just keep meaning to read the next few books and never do. I have no reason, except again time.

alex-rider10. Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz

I first started these when I was younger and I’ve lost count of which ones I’ve read so I need to re-read most of them and finally finish the series, but I do remember quite enjoying the different genre for me that follows a male protagonist involved in lots of action. I was a little bit more of a tom-boy when I was younger so this kind of thing really appealled to me.

It is safe to say, those ten are only the tip of the iceberg with series I read, I could name several more just to be a few, the House of Night series, Nightwalker series, Blood of Eden…

What about you this week?

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an weekly meme created and hosted at The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s TTT prompt is to list your 10 favourite books during your blog’s lifespan. Well my blog lifespan isn’t all that long, I’ve been going since April and I haven’t read that many books to pick from, but I have read some great books. I can’t say this top ten are in any particular order of favourites, just some of my favourite reads.

1. Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry

Pushing the Limits

I’m not usually a contemporary fan in the young-adult genre and I’d seen a lot of hype surrounding this book, but I literally devoured it. I stayed up late to read and could not stop myself from wanting to read just one more chapter.

The romance was fast paced and engaging. Echo and Noah dance around with insults and then finally make a compromise to work together and across the way find a budding romance through their hardship. They are really two fantastic characters and show a depth and reality with their faults.

This book might not be perfect, but it’s a page turner!

My Review.

2. Frankenstein by Marry Shelley

Frankenstein

I’ve always been wary of the Classics and I picked up this one wondering how I’d fair with enjoyment. However, I whipped my way through this one. It’s not too long and I found the plot engaging and interesting so that we switched around to lots of different places.

Frankenstein himself I despised and I felt incredibly sorry for the monster, which led me to believe that today we could certainly draw a moral message from the story. Nevertheless, this didn’t reduce my enjoyment of the novel.

Definitely a classic I’d give the time of day to again.

My Review.

3. The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa

The Immortal Rules

From the moment this came through the post I was bouncing about enough to post a picture to my Facebook in squealy excitement.

Then I started reading. At first I didn’t think this book was going in the direction for me, since the main character seemed a little week. Then we got more into the book and we really got to know her and wow! I adored her kick-ass strength and she was just jump up and down awesome.

And then there was Kanin… What a man! Seriously, he was only in the book for a short time, but I am most definitely in love.

My Review.

4. Branded by Fire by Nalini Singh

Branded by Fire

Definitely my all time favourite of the Psy-Changeling series. I just couldn’t get enough of this one. It was one I’d be anticipating when I’d read the blurb and now I’m anticipating Kiss of Snow with equal vigour. When I get that far into the series.

Here we have two Changelings from different packs and they really catch fire together. A wolf and a cat. Get your fan now because these two turn the heat right up!

Not only that, but we have a fantastic plot that follows through this story that leads on to more. It really is a wonderful enticing book and by far the best in the series for me so far.

My Review.

5. Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein

Code Name Verity

Another young-adult book to my list that is truly phenomenal. If you haven’t read this one, I urge you with all my heart to go pick it up and make sure you have a box of tissues. Not just one, a box because it’s heart wrenchingly beautiful and sad.

I connected so quickly with the two protagonists of the story and there is mystery, deception and lots of twists to the plot that make it ever exciting.

Then we reach the end and everything starts to unravel and fall into place which makes it so heart wrenching. A definite must-read of 2012.

My Review.

6. Naked in Death by J.D. Robb

Naked in Death

What can I say?! I’ve just started reading book 17 in this series and I’m still as much in love as I was from the very first moment. Everything about these books just makes me jump about in excitement.

The series might sound daunting, but don’t be put off because the books are just incredibly well-written.

We have romance, crime and just a little bit of everything. The books are set in the future, but it’s not so unrealistic that you can’t believe everything won’t happen.

These books have to be one my favourite series at the moment!

My Review.

7. Lover Mine by J.R. Ward

Lover Mine

Yet another yummy paranormal-romance series I love. Whilst I have reviews for quite a few of the books in this series, I had to pick this one because it was definitely one I’d been anticipating for quite a while.

John Matthews is the one we all wanted to know about and see having a happy ending.

It was exactly what I wanted and more. Actually, I probably didn’t expect any of what happened in this book, but I got what I wanted from it and it was just as yummy as ever. J.R. Ward has definitely got to be one of my favourite authors and if you haven’t checked out the Black Dagger Brotherhood series yet, you need to!

My Review.

8. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

It’s Philosopher’s not Sorceror’s. That’s where we’ll start. This was a review prompted by a re-read of the book and as ever I was still very much in love with it.

J.K. Rowling is an author I’ve grown up through my childhood and the books have been published all through my childhood and the films. Today, it’s been over a year since we had a film and far too long since we had a book from J.K. Rowling. That though alone makes me sad.

However J.K. Rowling is bringing out her new book in September. *Squeee giggles*.

Still, the Harry Potter series will not be forgotten.

My Review.

I could probably add a few more books to my list with The Hunger Games and more J.R. Ward books, but I felt like this was the adequate number and enough books to sum up my top ten for this week. I really adore all the books on this list and it feels like the perfect moment to end the list…

Top Ten Tuesday

This week we’re looking at Top Ten Book Romances That You Think Would Make It In The Real World.

To be truthful, I don’t read thatmany books that have romances in my opinion that are so strong and realistic. I may read quite a lot of books that feature elements of romance, but quite a few tend to taper into just a brief get together where they’re just blossoming as a couple at the end of the book. So… the likelihood I’m going to reach 10 is slim to slight.

1. Eve and Roarke from J.D. Robb’s In Death series.

These too without a doubt would last in the real world. Whilst they may live in a more “realistic future setting” they have a real relationship with problems and they sort through them. The pair both push each other and really drag the issues out of one and other. It’s so clear to see the love they have for each other as it evolves over the whole series and develops in a realistic fashion. If they with all their problems that connect and balance each other out, couldn’t work in the real world, I don’t know who could!

2. Cat and Bones from Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series.

These two yet again have their problems, but Bones was relentless after Cat and hasn’t ever truly given in with her. They make me all jumpy and squeal-ly excited when I read about them because they work.

3. Hermione and Ron from J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series.

I’d pick Harry and Ginny, but for me they didn’t quite have the traumatic, developed and blossoming relationship Hermione and Ron had. Over the years their relationship is strained with closeness, but there is always the man in Ron who stands to defend Hermione’s honour and he’s rather cute. Then he finally kicks his butt into gear and realises he loves Hermione and it’s nice. They just balance each other out and off all the Harry Potter characters I think they really work as a couple, I can see the dynamic there.

4. Meggie and Doria from Cornelia Funke’s Inkheart trilogy.

Meggie was level-headed and Doria really cared for her by the end of this trilogy and she settled for something “sensible” rather than “wild and adventurous” which really makes me think these two could work in the real world. It’s a shame they never gave the films chance to explore more options to the trilogy, but I think Meggie had a good ending to her story!

I have literally drawn to a halt… how useful. I think I need to read more. Oh dear! Or find more romances that will last, because truthfully half of the happily-ever-afters in YA and paranormal-romance, I don’t quite believe will work!

What do you think?

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an weekly meme created and hosted at The Broke and the Bookish.

I really enjoyed taking part in last week’s Top Ten Tuesday, so I’m looking forward to this one. This week we’re taking a look at Top Ten Characters I’d Like To Switch Places With For 24 Hours.

I think you’ll notice a theme that all my characters are female. I just felt weird saying I’d want to go into a male mind. *shudders at the thoughts* haha.

In Death Series

1. Eve Dallas.

What a women?! If you’ve never read the “In Death” series by J.D. Robb then now is your time. Eve Dallas is all around strong, broken, witty and a no-shit taking women. A running theme you shall see is the man she manages to bag, Roarke. He’s just rich, glorious, kind, sexy, rough and rugged. He’s everything. However, I’d love to have Dallas’ instincts and be able to do some gruesome police work since I think it would be rather thrilling!

                            Hermione GrangerHermione Granger2

2. Hermione Granger.

She was the girl I dressed up as on world book day, the character I idolised from childhood. She made me want to be smart, read books and work really hard and probably because of her, I did lots of those things and became hard-working. It sounds stupid, but Hermione Granger as a child for me was placed on a platform above everybody else. She was witty, smart and she grew into a feisty character that I adored by the end of the serious. Not only that, but she was a little snobbish to start with and deep down she just wanted friends, and she kind of reminded me of myself. That’s one of my favourite memories of her brewing the Polyjuice potion in Chamber of Secrets.

Valkyrie Cain

3. Valkyrie Cain

Also known as Stephanie Edgeley from Derek Landy’s Skulduggery Pleasant series. She’s a kickass teenage girl, who’s smart, witty and whilst not being fearless she charges head on into everything and I truly love her character. She’s tenacious and doesn’t she just look awesome above? We meet her as a thirteen year old, who’s mature beyond her years and I’d never believe she was so young. She makes a perfect side-kick for Skulduggery, but she also takes a strong role in her own way and I’d probably say she’s more of an apprentice. If you haven’t read Skulduggery Pleasant, I’d pick up the series because they are highly amusing and really cracking!

Cat

4. Cat

My first reason for being Cat would so I could have Bones for 24-hours where he could worship me, as a sexy, hot, mother-know-the-word vampire! He just makes me all tingly. Aside from that, I think Cat is kick-ass, beautiful, sassy and just everything a female protagonist should be. I think she has a great bunch of friends too, so I’d like to laugh with Vlad and taste some blood! Oh, and this is Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series, which just rocks!

Miriam Black

5. Miriam Black

Whilst her visions of people’s death wouldn’t thrill me. I’d like the idea of living life on the edge and being a little bit of a bad girl, since I seem to be more off a good one. Not only that, but guess what?! She gets a pretty handsome and rugged guy who makes me all warm and happy inside. Although she has a mouth like a sailor, which is definitely NOT me, it would be an experience, I’m sure.

                          VioletViolet2

6. Violet Bauldelaire

She’s the leader of the family and an extraordinary inventor. I’d like to be good with my hands and whilst my own capabilities at using my hands to create things is next to nothing. Her life might not be happy, but it would be nice to experience the sibling love and I think in general she’s a fantastic young-adult character.

Sophie Neveu

7. Sophie Neveu

Hmmmmmm. I’m not particularly sure why I picked this one. But she’s smart, can speak a language other than English and has a fantastic heritage. Her life in general seems to be interesting and I’d love to be able to speak another language fluently so spending 24 hours as her would be exciting I presume.

8. Mary

Mary is from the Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward and whilst it might seem strange to want to be somebody who has to deal with so much and illnesses, she is genuinely a wonderful, lovely person who has the biggest heart and it’s a reason I truly adore her character. She helps everybody out and doesn’t expect anything in return. However, my reasoning for wanting to be her is the soul reason of Rhage. I am in love with him as a character. He is my favourite brother of the series and I can never get enough of him! So I’d love to be Mary just to get Rhage for 24 hours.

9. Lucy Pevensie

She always seems to have the most fun out of the four. Making friends with all the cute creatures and she spends the most time in Narnia. I’d pick Susan, but I think Lucy has more gusto and adventure in her. I forgot about the Narnia world in my TTT settings, so I certainly would need to experience the world of magic through youthful eyes.

10. Kohana

Most if not all of you, will have probably never heard of Kohana, but she was certainly an interesting character I came across. Whilst she wasn’t the perfect character the span of her life was certainly exciting and being Japanese and living in a different culture would make for a different kind of 24 hours. Not only that, but she travels across time in a ghost state and seems to have lots of different secrets up her sleeve. Her life experiences are numerous and whilst I wouldn’t carry any of them out in real life, it would be freeing to act them out in fiction.
